Selectors and Management of Sheets in MS Excel
In Microsoft Excel, there are various types of selectors available to control the excel sheet.
1. Formal Selector -
This Selector will help us to select a cell or a group of cells which is called a range. This selector can be found everywhere in the sheet area.
2. Drag Selector -
This selector is basically a dragging selector by which we can drag a cell content into other cells. This selector can be found at the bottom right corner of a selected cell or a range.
3. Cut and Move Selector -
This selector will help us to transfer a cell content permanently from one place to another place. This process is typically known as Cut and Paste.
This selector will be found in the border area of a cell or a selected range except bottom right corner. Because that area is for drag selector.
4. Width Adjust Selector -
This selector is used for adjusting the width of a column. You will find this selector in the middle area of two columns names. Just click and adjust for your desired width. Although if you want to go through with the options then Go to Home > Format > Column Width just put you required number and hit enter.
5. Height Adjust Selector -
This selector is used for adjusting the height of a row. You will find this selector in the middle area of two rows numbers. Just click and adjust for your desired height. Although if you want to go through with the options then Go to Home > Format > Row Height just put you required number and hit enter.
6. Full Column Selector -
With this selector, we can select the full column in one shot.
7. Full Row Selector -
With this selector, we can select the full row in one shot.
Management of Sheets
In Excel 2013,2016,2019 you can use as many sheets as you want. To insert a Sheet there are multiple options available. Below is the list of options;
1. Right-click on any sheet name in Sheet Tab Section > Insert > Choose your desired sheet type.
2. Press Shift + F11 this will add a new worksheet beside the active sheet.
3. Home Tab > Insert > Insert Sheet.
Hide and Unhide of Sheets
To Hide any sheet Right-click of that sheet name then click on Hide. Another Option You can use is Under Home Tab go to Format > Hide & Unhide > Hide Sheet. This Will Hide the active sheet.
For Unhide any sheet Right-click on any other sheet name then click on Unhide. This will open the list of hided sheets choose your desire sheet and hit OK. Another Option You can use is Under Home Tab go to Format > Hide & Unhide > Unhide Sheet. This will also open the list of hided sheets choose your desire sheet and hit OK.
